Did you set intentions for 2019? I set a goal at the beginning of the year to keep my nails manicured. A seemingly frivolous goal, however it’s a detail that makes me feel more pulled together. That feeling spills over into other areas of my life. So truly - having my nails done makes me a more productive person!

At the beginning of this month, I was slipping. My bare nails and ragged cuticles were there for the world to see! I’ve pressed the reset button and I’ve committed to getting back on track. That’s the thing about goals - it isn’t smooth sailing all the time. But one slip up doesn’t indicate failure. If you’re off track - it’s okay. Give yourself some grace! Take a deep breath, mentally recommit and remind yourself why it’s important. Then back it up with action. 

I deeply believe that since I shared my goal, it forced me to refocus. If no one knew about my goal…it would be so easy to throw in the towel and say “well, this is just me, failing on a goal….again.” Have you felt that way before?
