Being a mother and wife, is no easy task. Cooking, cleaning, helping the kids with their daily school work and tending to your husband, all while maintaining your own self care...can become overwhelming. ⠀ ⠀ How do you find the balance? How do you not fold under the pressure of wanting to be identified as a “good mother”, or “proverbs 31 wife”? These are my struggles sometimes....but everytime I feel like I’m coming up short, I pray. Sometimes I feel defeated.....⠀ ⠀ I tell God about my inadequacies and ask him to help me walk in who he says I am. Trying to be who everyone else wants you to be and meeting their perspective standards will have you pulling your hair out!!! ⠀ ⠀ In obeying God, there is true, security and comfort in being who HE can called you to be. HIS word tells us that he’s given us all that we need pertaining to life and Godliness...⠀ ⠀ He wants us to be good stewards over all that he has given us and that includes our family. The good thing is that this can be accomplished if we look to him for guidance. ⠀ ⠀ Put forth your best efforts to for them, love them, and teach them the ways of God.
