Mexico in numbers - 35 different kinds of salsa, 24 hours in the air, 19 tacos, 11 photos with random people, 8 embroidered items, 7 inspiring museums, 5 hours trying to sort out a cancelled flight, 4 hotels, 3 pyramids climbed, 2 colourful Airbnbs and 1 hand-painted Frida Kahlo figurine. 🍅🌮🎨💕✈️ 🌸 This was my kind of solo trip. Lots of highs (hello Teotihuacán), a few low moments (though I eventually gained perspective) and plenty of time spent getting creative. The sun is shining, I’m slightly calmer about the passing of time and finally ticking places off my ‘must visit’ list. 🙌🏾 @duddellslondon had me at pink tables and dim sum. It’s located inside an old church and the decor was inspired by a 60s Hong Kong tea restaurant. Although it’s more than I’d usually spend, I’d definitely recommend the lunch menu if you want to try a range of dishes. Also had four servings of chilli oil! I’m smiling because I’ve finished #IAmQueenie by @candicec_w after abandoning fiction for the best part of five years. Does anyone else find it hard to concentrate on books because of social media? The references to headscarves, chicken seasoning and dating app creeps kept me hooked.
