Downtown Detroit is so nice during the summer! I don’t go down there enough but I should try to more before summer is over!

It’s been so hot and humid here, I’ve been wearing as many linen items I can, including this white tie top. I’ve already styled it so many ways! So versatile for summer.

What tv shows are you watching for summer? I’m currently watching 2 summer dizis- @gizlisaklifox and @sendendahaguzelfox.
Gizli Saklı is probably my favourite out of the 2. It’s a true rom-com. You’ve got undercover cops pretending to be married to bring down the mafia. A crazy uncle who almost ruins the plan. It’s got it all! Wednesday was the 5th episode and it was the best one yet. It was so funny. I keep thinking of scenes and laughing to myself.

Senden Daha Güzel is also a rom-com, but a cute one. Efsun lives in Antep with her dad as a doctor. A guy shows up claiming to be her moms chauffeur, who she hasn’t seen since she was 12, to bring her to Istanbul to see her mom. Turns out Emir isn’t a chauffeur but also a doctor at her moms clinic. Her mom blackmails her to work at the clinic for 3 months while she has surgery and recovers. Emir and Efsun are not happy about the situation. And they also end up living together.

Reika wishes she could come everywhere with her mommy. When I can take her, I will. Re-styling some of my favourite pieces. The dress is from last summer from @faithfullthebrand and my denim jacket is vintage @luckybrand that I bought at a garage sale years ago!

Since micro plastics are now being found in our bloodstream, I think now is the time to really ban plastic and also polyester in clothing. Most people don’t know or care how to wash polyester. If you don’t wash in properly, micro plastics end up in our water supply! Something really needs to be done. Big corporations need to be held accountable!

This hot and humid weather makes me wish I was at the beach right now!

Today is day 124 of learning Turkish on Duolingo!! I feel like I know so much and so little at the same time. 8 weeks in the diamond league with 5 top 3 finishes and being number 1 once! I just want to be fluent enough to watch my shows without subtitles and not have an issue holding a conversation. I take to my pets in a mixture of English/Turkish and Reika actually listens better in Turkish 😂😂

*In Good Hands on Netflix- this movie is about a single mom who finds out she has a terminal illness and only has 5 months to live. It is Turkish and I only watched it because of @kaan 😂 but it’s been in the top 3 movies worldwide on Netflix since it came out last Monday
*The Batman- this movie was so good but also long.
What were you loving in March?

This morning I just completed day 75 of learning Turkish on @duolingo! And I finished in the top 5 of the Diamond league. I’m proud of myself because Turkish is such a hard language and I can understand more when I watch my dizis and can point out when the subtitles are wrong! And speaking of dizis, last nights episode of @yargidizi was gut wrenching. Some people who have lost parents said it was so accurate 😔
