Here is an easy under-eye makeup routine for a soft and bright undereye!

The cancel-n-conceal skin perfector & color corrector really neutralizes dark tones and balances your under eye. This is a must if you have any darkness or discoloration!!!! I then go in with the ideal fix concealer for a lightweight coverage. Finishing off with the matte maker translucent setting powder for to lock everything in place.

It’s Rosacea Awareness Month. For days when I do get a flareup, simplicity is key. I use a gentle soothing moisturizer and facial spray (I like the one from @erborian_usa and @tower28beauty). Then I use my CC red correct to help soften the look of redness while delivering extra hydration. In addition, I try to drink lots of water and eat less inflammatory food.

Testing makeup products I bought during the @sephora sale. I have been eyeing this one for a while now and was completely influenced by @lindseyreganthorne, who is a fellow makeup artist —she’s amazing and I’ve had the pleasure of working with her many times!

This is the @patmcgrathreal under-eye blurring powder. It’s a featherlight baked formula that’s supposed to give you a soft focus finish while setting your concealer in place.

First impression:, it’s really lightweight and it feels very soft and silky going on. I feel like it definitely brightened up my eyes and made the area look nice and smooth. I’m going to wear it around for a couple of days and I’ll be back with a more in-depth review!

If you feel like you apply way too much concealer or it just doesn’t blend out, give this a try! Apply concealer on the back of your hand to warm it up first and then really worked the concealer and your concealer brush. This is going to help you apply less and it’s going to give you a really seamless blend!

When you put your crease color in your actual crease and then open your eyes, most of the time, you won’t even be able to see the color you just applied. Taking the crease color a little bit higher (above your actual crease) will actually create the illusion of a crease, and you’ll be able to see the eyeshadow when you open up your eyes! I absolutely love @patricktabeauty cream/powder blush duo. These are a staple in my professional makeup kit (I have four different shades, and I want more). Amazing color payoff and I absolutely love layering the cream over powder for a soft dewy finish!

If you want a blush plus bronzer combo, @bareminerals is the one you need! It adds a soft warmth to your skin, while adding a touch of pink! Perfect for spring and summer! I love shade kiss of pink.

If you are a cream blush beginner, you’ll love the @merit blush balm! It’s so easy to apply and the color choices are beautiful! I like to keep this one in my purse for midday touch up.

I had to include this last one, even though it is a new to me product. The @rarebeauty blushes gives you a blush and highlighter all in one and they are gorgeous on the skin. Beautiful colors, and such a radiant glow!

The age old question… should you go lighter or your exact skin tone for your under eye concealer? I think you should do what makes you the happiest!!! But, I did want to provide some advantages/disadvantages to doing it either way:

One shade lighter can definitely brighten up your undereyes. However, if you go too light, it can do the exact opposite. Bringing light to areas only draws more attention to that area. Meaning, if you’re trying to conceal darkness and go too light with your concealer, it’s going to bring more attention to that area. It could also have a graying effect, which is definitely not what we want to cover any sort of darkness or discoloration.

If you choose a concealer closer to your exact skin tone, it will ultimately look more natural and not draw as much attention to your under eye area but just know, it won’t give you the light and bright vibe.

Now I’ve talked about under eye color correctors and I stand by them! If you have any sort of darkness or discoloration under your eyes, I always recommend a color corrector. Something with a pink/peach undertone (for lighter skin) or an orange/red undertone (for darker skin). These will cancel out any blue/purple tones under the eye and neutralize the area. There are a lot of great options in terms of under eye color correctors that you can either wear alone or underneath concealer.
