14. A Stranger in the House by Shari Lapena :: 7/10 ⭐️ I wanted so badly for this book to have a major twist at the end, but I called the entire thing.. I was disappointed with this book, and kept reading because I was waiting for something major to drop. The story begins when Tom Krupp returns home from work to an unlocked door, the car missing, dinner in the middle of being cooked, and his wife, Karen Krupps purse and phone still in the house. Tom then learns Karen had been in an accident and is in the hospital. Karen survives, but has amnesia and can’t remember anything about the night, which police think is a total lie. Eventually we learn who the murderer is. It kind of ended on a cliff hanger, but there were still unanswered questions that I had, and a detail or 2 that just didn’t make sense to me. I loved that the chapters were short, and it was a quick read. I was just expecting more, especially since “the couple next door” is one of my favorite books! #LTKbacktoschool book / thrillers / romance / travel book / good reads / booktok books / book recommendations / on my bookshelf / kindle books / audio books / kindle girlie / kindle unlimited / amazon books / amazon reads / amazon readers / reading / reading must haves / trending books / kindle accessories / books accessories / books
