Teacher Tip Tuesday time! (Say that 10x fast) 👩🏻‍🏫 Today’s Tip is about managing school work at home and maintaining a schedule. 📚Homeschooling looks ALOT different than a regular school day. It would be physically impossible to do 8 hours of school work at home. Parents, don’t feel like you need to do all the schoolwork that is assigned from your kid’s teacher right away. Break it up into chunks and create a schedule. Allocate times for brain breaks like a Go Noodle dance, or some unstructured outdoor playtime. 🌤 Be sure to also include times to incorporate STEM or building activities. ⏰ Fine motor is also super important for strengthening those hand muscles! 🖐 Have your child play with play doh, use tweezers to pick objects up or even do a puzzle. 🧩 Your child’s teacher (in K-2) is probably only going to assign about 2-3 hours of work a day. A sample schedule to give you an idea can be found if you swipe ➡️ Our typical day in kindergarten is broken up into 30 minute increments. These keeps their wiggly bodies and short attention spans manageable. 🤪 Your day might look different and this is just a sample to give you an idea on how to structure your day. If you need additional support please reach out, and I’ll be happy to help! ❤️ Take it one day at a time and remember that routines need to stay as consistent as possible. You’ve got this! 👍🏽 http://liketk.it/2MCzi @liketoknow.it #liketkit #StayHomeWithLTK #LTKunder100
