Gooooood gravy my relationship with running has been a rocky one.
But lately we’ve been on real good terms ☀️ Idk what it is that keeps me interested in my runs but I have some suspicion:
1. This weather 😍if it’s a chilly Sunday morning or a sunny afternoon I can choose anytime of day to run and it’s pleasant. I’ll keep grateful for that while I can
2. DATA & PHYSIOLOGY 🤓I study my endurance like it’s my job (which as a sports dietitian, studying fitness , fueling & performance IS my job haha). I’ve been running real slow, keeping my heart rate down. I use a Polar HR monitor + my watch the Polar Ignite!
3. PROGRESS 🙌🏼❤️over the last 3 weeks I’ve noticed my mile time has gone DOWN despite heart rate staying the same.
4. I got new clothes 😂 Idk what it is about a sprucing you of the wardrobe but I’ll be damned that’s my favorite way to get excited about working out haha.
