Henry David Thoreou said “most men live lives of quiet desperation and die with their song still inside them.” I’ve wanted to live on a farm my entire life. #truestory Becoming a mother only turned that desire into the deepest dream of my heart, for my children to grow up in the country with the sounds of roosters and the quiet of being away from hustle. Space to run around and explore and work hard with their hands. A few years ago I almost gave up on that dream. But then I decided that I was never going to let it go. I got really specific with it, I wrote it down, to the tiniest detail. I wanted an old farmhouse with a big barn, close to the ocean in a place with 4 seasons and a good city near-enough for culture in a day-trip kind of way. New England checked all my boxes and so we started working towards that specific beautiful dream. And here we are, with our 230 year- old farmhouse, big red barn, 20 chickens and lots of love. This year we’re adding a horse, and some goats. If you have a dream, it can be yours.
