Everybody always talks about chasing your dreams, hustling. I’ve been chasing dreams and hustling my entire life, but over the last 3.5 years of motherhood, God has been telling me to sloooow down. Telling me to change my perspective. To savor the cup of coffee rather than chugging it. To stop and actually smell the roses (or peonies hehe). To linger in my husband’s embrace just a little bit longer. To hold my babies even after they’re asleep rather than rushing to put them down... stroke their hair, smell their skin, really study their ever-changing little features. To take a picture to document the gram-worthy moment, then put the phone back down to actually finish living in it.
