I received this to test back in mid-August and I wanted to wear it many times before I gave a review. So, just about two months later, I'm ready to give my feedback. I wore this foundation out to dinner, on date-nights, and even just because. I can say that I tested it during the day, night, wind, and rain. I know and understand why it has the 2021 Allure Best of Beauty Stamp. And let me tell you, I am in love this foundation. It’s liquid like water but spreads over skin amazingly and wears very light. I use a fluffy-like blunt tipped foundation brush to apply this. It also blends well with a beauty sponge. It spreads evenly and has a light-medium coverage and I can’t feel it on my skin like I can with thick heavy foundations, even cc creams (Did I say it is liquid, like water?!).

Thank you to Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration pics of throwing sand in the air… and me not entirely paying attention to the direction the wind is blowing. This also took like 5 takes to get it right. After take 1 I realized it was an awful idea but I was committed - fail or not. Also, I should have raised the shutter speed on my camera, but was losing light so I sacrificed it… Here’s to sand everywhere 🥂🍻! So, unless you essentially want eat sand, don’t try this one…

M and I spent our Labor Day weekend at the beach, shocker… I’m sad that Fall is drawing near. I prefer warm weather anytime over the cold - even though I’m a sucker for a sweater. That also means my birthday is coming, the day before dreaded fall. I refuse to celebrate fall early. It’s STILL SUMMER! And I’m going to soak up every last bit. Fall solstice, in the Northern Hemisphere will be at 3:20pm on September 22, 2021. I’m not celebrating fall until then…

No, y’all, we haven’t moved yet. We’ve gotten repeated messages from friends and family - if you’d read my stuff, you’d know we haven’t moved yet. Geezzzzzz y’all 😂. But I can say that the few days I’ve been back, I’ve been under the weather (I’m talking fetal position on the couch, again).

I swear I feel better, overall, at the beach. Maybe it’s just a placebo effect, I don’t know. But I come home and I’m feeling bad, again. I have some chronic health conditions, I’d prefer to not discuss right now. And I feel like I’ve gone 1000 steps backwards. Not that I didn’t have bad days while we were away - but I would feel better after a couple of hours. Now I’m a few days into this and it’s gotten old, again. SIGH. Anywho. Life must go on. If you suffer from any type of chronic illness, you know what I mean. Often, I plaster on a smile and go on with my day. That’s exactly what I did today. Appointment, grocery pickup (when I snapped this pic), errands, and now on the way to hopefully scour some clearance racks (@target and @kohls tonight) while people are at dinner (I want to miss the crowd) since the kid has outgrown all her clothes. I’m hoping I can get some late season deals for next summer as well as a few things she can wear now - since it’s all too small.

Do you take advantage of clearance racks for your littles? It was much easier when she was a baby. Now I have a little bit more guess work involved.

Even though my dogs are not puppies anymore, I still refer to them as my puppies. I don’t know why, really. I suppose it doesn’t really matter. Bella isn’t pictured as she was hanging out with M as far away from the water as possible. She’s not fond of the docks as they are close to water and she does not like water. A lab mix that does not like to fetch/play ball or have anything to do with water… Pebbles is the little white one and Trixi is the vocal, black & white one.

We thoroughly enjoyed dinner at one of our fav restaurants in Morehead City last night at the RedFish grill. Jon had the Crab Stuffed Mahi, M had the kids Soaghetti, and my best friend and I had the Mixed Grill. As always, 5 out of 5 ⭐️’s! I adore that they, along with many other local fav’s, have outdoor seating. I prefer sitting outside when the weather cooperates and it was perfect last night.

Here, I’m at one of my most coveted places on the Crystal coast, Cape Lookout national seashore. I highly recommend that if you ever get a chance to visit North Carolina that you come down here to our beaches! If you visit this barrier island, you’ll need to either take the ferry or a personal watercraft. Ferries come from Harkers Island and Beaufort. This time of the year the water is warm as well as a teal crystal clear. Across the waterway is Shackleford Banks and carrot island where the wild horses roam. For me, this is like heaven on earth.

We love Morehead City (NC). It’s right across the waterway from our beach home. We can hop on the boat and be tied to a dock faster than it takes to drive across the bridge, park, and walk to where we’d like to go.

The port is always interesting to watch from the water, as the ships come and go with their cargo. If your in the right place at the right time (usually in the afternoon around 5pm), you can see the charter boats unload their fish from the day. Come around during a fishing tournament or the Big Rock and boat watch, people watch, or watch a weigh in at the Big Rock Landing. The restaurants on and off the waterway will satisfy whatever your craving and most have nice outdoor seating for those that prefer the seaside breeze with their meal… Morehead, I salute you and can’t wait to explore everything you have to offer.

I’ve always loved Roxy. I tried this swimsuit on, on a whim because I liked the design… and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it fit. I actually had to size down from my usual swim sizing because it was a little loose. So, thank you @Roxy for having a variety of sizes to fit a variety of bodies - because I usually dread swimsuit shopping. Roxy also has this design in different cuts in both tops and bottoms! Whoop!
