I almost always recommend the Rolling and Tipping method versus rolling only when painting cabinets and furniture (when spraying isn’t an option). Rolling the primer or paint on then immediately tipping off the material using one of these thin, synthetic bristle brushes will leave a smoother texture result than rolling only. My most favorite brush for this is the bottom one with pink bristles. It’s a high quality brush that will last for years if cared for properly. The quality is reflected in the price. The other two options are a 1-2 time use brush that is far, far less quality…again, the quality is reflected in the price. But they’ll get the job done. I have a demonstration of the difference and the technique in my Instagram reels - check it out there. Find me @paintedbykaylapayne
